The Dunford Parish Community Association ("DPCA") was established as a registered charity in 1993 to serve the local community and to manage the local community centre. The constitution of the association can be viewed by clicking here. The DPCA is managed by a committee comprising nine trustees who work tirelessly to achieve the objectives of the DPCA, the trustees are:
Doreen Rothery Chair
Sean Moran Deputy Chair
Darren Rothery Secretary/Treasurer
Barbara Cockburn Bookings Co-ordinator
Mick Drewry
Mary Horn
Anne Kaye
Amos Kaye
Mary Smith
Meetings are held monthly, usually on the last Tuesday of each month (minutes are posted on this website). At these meetings we welcome any members of the community who wish to put forward any ideas or requests for use of the centre.
As mentioned above, one of our main purposes is to manage the local community centre, including up-keep and maintenance, which is a bit like the painting of the Forth Bridge (never ending). We are constantly trying to improve the centre and have, in recent years, secured grant funding for a replacement roof and ceiling.
We also organise the annual gala (this year on Saturday 26th July) and at least four themed dances through the year.
