The Dunford Parish Community Association ("DPCA") was established as a registered charity in 1993 to serve the local community and to manage the local community centre. The constitution of the association can be viewed by clicking here. The DPCA is managed by a committee comprising eight trustees who work hard to achieve the objectives of the DPCA, the trustees are:
Barbara Cockburn Chair/Bookings Co-ordinator
Amos Kaye Deputy Chair
Pat Thompson Treasurer
Lynn Goldthorpe Secretary
Mary Horn
Anne Kaye
Edward Stirk
Peter Goldthorpe
Meetings are held monthly, usually on the last Tuesday of each month (minutes are posted on this website). At these meetings we welcome any members of the community who wish to put forward any ideas or requests for use of the centre.
As mentioned above, one of our main purposes is to manage the local community centre, including up-keep and maintenance, which is a bit like the painting of the Forth Bridge (never ending). We are constantly trying to improve the centre and have, in recent years, secured grant funding for a replacement roof and ceiling.
We also organise the annual gala in July and themed dances through the year.
