Dunford Parish Community Association serving the local community
Registered Charity No. 1026536

In 2008 the Crow Edge Community Centre has been re-named ‘The parish Community Centre’ to strengthen the message that this centre is a facility for the whole of the Dunford Parish (and surrounding area). We are hoping that this will encourage more people within the locality to support it and to use it.

The Centre boasts a large hall (capacity 100), kitchen, side room, small stage, fully licensed bar and approximately 3 acres of field, which can be hired out either separately or together.

Over the last few years the DPCA has undertaken a programme of upgrading the Centre , including:

A new roof

A new ceiling (funded by a grant from the Yorkshire Rural Community Council)

A refurbished kitchen

External repainting

Repaintiing of the toilets

Upgraded lighting

A state of the art disco and PA sound sytem

The DPCA continues to work to further improve the facilities. Subject to obtaining the necessary funding, these will include improvments to the car parking area, replacement of windows, the provision of picnic tables etc.

Anybody who has not been to the Centre for a few years, will be amazed at the transformation!

Regular users of the centre include:

Dunford Parish Community Association

Dunford Parish Council

Dunford Parish Residents Association

Dunford Parish Senior Citizens Association

A Wednesday senior citizens club

A youth Club every Friday night

The Huddersfield Model Aircraft Club – can often be seen flying their gliders in the field

Various caravan clubs

Pony clubs

It is also used on a regular basis for public meetings.

Anyone wanting further information on the Centre or wishing to book please contact Barbara Cockburn, Bookings Co-Ordinator on 01226 762533 or e-mail by clicking here

We are always looking for new ideas and people to hire/use the centre and if you have a need we would be delighted to hear from you and discuss your requirements. The DPCA meetings are held on a monthly basis and any ideas/requests for use can be brought to any meeting, simply come along, the date of the next meeting is 27th May at 7.00 p.m.

Obviously the centre does not run itself and we are reliant on funding from either hiring of the centre or the support of the local community at our events.
